Thank you to all of the member-owners who attended the River Valley Market 11th Annual Meeting on November 8th. Thanks also to Joseph, Sarah and the Quarry Cafe team for the delicious meal, and to all of the other co-op staff members and board who contributed to the meeting’s success.
A highlight of the evening was a presentation from Michael Shuman, economist, activist and author of The Small-Mart Revolution. Michael validated the great work that River Valley Market is doing to support our local economy, and provided exciting concrete ideas of what actions we may take in the future to further localize our investing and other economic practices.
