To stop guacamole from oxidizing and changing color, make sure you cover it with plastic or parchment paper directly on top of the finished product. Serves 12.
INGREDIENTS
8 ripe avocados
2 limes, juiced
3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
1 tsp cumin seed, toasted and ground
salt to taste
PREPARATION
Cut each avocado in half, remove the pit, scoop the meat into a bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to desired consistency.

Crushed red pepper flakes
Diced tomato
Minced jalepeno, habenero or Serrano chile for heat
A jar of your favorite salsa
Picked, chopped cilantro leaves
Small diced red onion
What to serve it with? Chips, fajitas…it’s good on everything!
